MaskMothers and fathers, sons and daughters
All they ask for is love from one another
So how hard is it to drop the pretenses
Kindness, compassion, no more masks
HeavenHere our eyes meet and the glorious
Estate of heaven is revealed to me
A shaft of light, a beam of warmth

Easy now I see that we are meant to be

My eyes open, a light shining through them.
The truth shines through and revelations abound.
I look and feel and walk and live and feel cold.
These hands, this body, a vessel empty inside.

The Fire WithinI have a passion burning inside
It's been 36 years and still yet no bride

My soul atremble with shyness and delight
I feel like a foal being guided out of the light

The passion, it waxes and it wanes
Of hatred, true love is its bane

My heart it eternally glows
With the possibility that you'll show

I need to have faith that you'll appear

Nearly drawing to a close
Each week has been disposed
Where is the time that you chose?

You open eyes and see for which
Every minute and every hour is not a glitch
And now you are no longer blind, you notice your niche
Race not through the day and notice e'ry moment enriched

I think this easily one of the best poems I've ever written.

This poem reads like a bedtime cadence meant to teach a lesson to another generation. That's one of the things that I like about it. It has a rhythm that makes it memorable and effective.

I'm not much of a fan for acrostic poetry or even rhyming poetry. It generally doesn't work well because it limits the author's word choice and originality. However, in situations where remember a poem is key, these two elements are helpful.

This piece would be great for teaching children to learn from their experiences and grow with each new year that comes their way. It holds a reminiscent echo that carries nostalgia and dreams.

As a whole, this truly is a wonderful piece.

I love your poem and i love how you set it up, makes it catchy.

It's good to write about the new year, You did good at telling people about it.

Nice and simple is the way to go sometimes, you don't have to be very proper to get the word out.

The impact of this is just to let others know what is going on. This change each year, and it's good to write about what is going on and the way you see it. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you never give up.
